'Learning Lessons from Our Past'
In Spring of 2009, Louisburgh Community Project organised a project where the children from Louisburgh, Killeen and Lecanvey schools studied the global problem of hunger by examining the Great Famine of 160 years ago. At the end of the project, the children in each school created a visual interpretation of their experiences and results from this are on display in the Famine Museum of the Granuaile Centre in Louisburgh. The Granuaile Centre is open from Monday - Friday during the summer months.
